Jay Leno and his spouse, Mavis, appear at the premiere for 'Unfrosted' while she faces a dementia diagnosis.
A couple and comedian Jerry Seinfeld graced the red carpet premier for "Unfrosted," a new movie about the origin of Pop-Tarts, which is Seinfeld's directorial debut. The actors in the film include Amy Schumer, Melissa McCarthy, and Jim Gaffigan.
Jay Leno, who recently celebrated his 74th birthday, is now responsible for managing his wife's estate, as she deals with advanced dementia. At a recent hearing, the the judge stated there was "clearly sufficient evidence to show the necessity and appropriateness of a Conservatorship of the Estate" since Mavis Leno is "unable to manage her own financial affairs" due to her condition.
Jay and Mavis have been married for over 43 years. During the premiere, Jay playfully crashed Seinfeld's interview with The Hollywood Reporter, cracking a joke about his disapproval of serious documentaries.
"I'm so tired of all these heavy, hard-hitting documentaries," Leno joked. "Can't we have some fun with something for once?" Seinfeld shared that he and Leno have been friends since 1978, and his friend proudly mentioned how proud he was of Seinfeld's success.
