Zayn Malik allegedly received a few bans from Tinder due to suspicion of pretending to be his own self.

In a recent article for Nylon, the musician confessed that when he used the dating app Tinder, people didn't think it was actually him.

"They accused me of catfishing. They said, 'What are you using Zayn Malik's pictures for?' I've been kicked off a couple of times," he revealed.

The former member of One Direction talked about his personal life, including his past relationships.

"From 17 to 21, I was in a relationship. I was engaged and planned to get married, but I knew nothing about anything at that point. I thought I did, because I was 21. I was legally allowed to do everything, but I didn't know anything," he said.

The relationship in question was with singer/songwriter Perrie Edwards, who was a part of the girl group Little Mix. It coincided with Malik's time as a boyband member.

After that, he was in a relationship with model Gigi Hadid, with whom he has a young daughter.

"From 21 to 27, I was with Gi, and we had a kid. I didn't really take the time to get to know myself," Malik said during the interview.

He caused a stir in 2015 when he left One Direction to pursue a solo career, and his new project, "Room Under The Stairs," has fans eagerly anticipating its release.

However, his new album might disappoint some fans if they're hoping to meet him via dating apps, as he's not currently looking for relationships.

"I'm really content and happy with being single for the first time in my life," Malik said in the Nylon interview.
