Young Simba's original singer Jason Weaver expresses his support for North West after attending a 'Lion King' stage show.
North West did an amazing job when she performed the song "I Just Can't Wait to be King" from the 1994 animated classic during Disney's live concert production of "The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl" on Friday and Saturday. This talented child received praise from Jason Weaver, who is known for providing the singing voice of young Simba in the original film and also appeared at the event.
Weaver wrote on his Instagram page on Saturday, "It's a privilege to share the same stage with this budding superstar. I'm so PROUD of you, North! You're doing such a PHENOMENAL job in this show!" Many other cast members and performers from "The Lion King" world were also present, like Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, Ernie Sabella, Bradley Gibson, Billy Eichner, Heather Headley, and Lebo M.
Not to forget, Jennifer Hudson, an EGOT-winner, blew everyone away with her magnificent performance. In his post, Weaver also shared a photo of West in her adorable Simba costume, a little sneak peek for those who will be watching the show in the upcoming Disney+ special.
Kardashian, North's proud mom, shared various behind-the-scenes photos from the event on her Instagram Stories on Saturday. Just like her famous family, North is not a newbie in Hollywood. Last year, she voiced the role of Mini in "PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie" and also performed on stage with her father at previous concerts.
The "The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl" live concert event does not have a specific premiere date yet but will be available on Disney+.
