Will J Lo and Ben Affleck's relationship faces another setback?
Recently, it seems like all is not well in the world of "Bennifer" - the famous celebrity couple made up of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Around 17 years after their initial breakup, these two appear to have reunited and even got married. However, recent events have sparked speculation that their relationship might be coming to an end once again.
It's been a while since these two have been photographed together in public - a whopping 47 days to be precise. The last time they were captured holding hands was back in New York City on March 30. This trend isn't going unnoticed by keen observers who keep a close eye on such matters. And let's not forget the ever-vigilant People magazine, which did the math and came to this conclusion.
Not only are they catching less attention from paparazzi and fans, but numerous media outlets have started wondering if something is amiss. Speculations about potential tensions within their marriage are becoming increasingly persistent.
These rumors don't help when you consider the busy schedules of both individuals. Lopez, for example, was quite occupied in April and early May. She was busy promoting her upcoming Netflix film "Atlas" and getting ready for the Met Gala 2024, which happened on May 6. Oh, and she's also filming "Kiss of the Spiderwoman". Affleck, on the other hand, is hard at work filming "The Accountant 2".
"Clearly some issues"
The lack of public appearances by the couple doesn't paint a pretty picture. Lopez was spotted at the Met Gala without her husband, while Affleck made an appearance at "The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady" on May 5 - sans Lopez.
But that's not all. According to TMZ, Lopez is currently residing alone in the home she shares with Affleck in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Affleck has already gone out seeking a single apartment in the neighborhood of Brentwood. And let's not forget the unnamed "insider" from Us Weekly, who reportedly said, "They're definitely in trouble and have started seeing a couples therapist."
To add more fuel to the fire, Lopez "liked" an Instagram post about "broken relationships". The post by a relationship coach stated, "You can't have a healthy relationship with someone who lacks integrity and emotional security." It went on to explain, "Trust is the foundation of any relationship. Without integrity, it's difficult to trust the words, actions, or intentions of another person. This can create an environment of fear, anxiety, and emotional instability that makes it challenging to feel safe and secure in the relationship."
Wearing the wedding rings, but apart?
Despite all these red flags, there might be a sliver of hope. In the most recent pictures of them, both Affleck and Lopez are still seen wearing their wedding rings. This suggests that they haven't reached the point where they're removing these symbols of their love.
The pair, who were together from 2002 to 2004 and then attempted to rekindle their romance in 2021, had a lavish wedding in Las Vegas in July. They followed this up with a celebrity-filled wedding ceremony a few weeks later. Although neither Affleck nor Lopez have spoken out about the latest rumors.
