Chris Martin: Singer revisits field - Transportation for handicapped spectators
Saundra Glenn was given a unique ride to Coldplay's concert. This 64-year-old woman has arthritis, making it hard for her to walk. Despite the challenge, she managed to attend her favorite band's show in her hometown of Luton. The event was organized by BBC Radio 1 over the weekend.
Later, Glenn shared her experience with the BBC. She admitted to having a moment of doubt and eventually thinking about watching the concert from home. However, a mysterious black Mercedes pulled up. The driver, a woman, offered to take her. To her surprise, it was none other than Chris Martin, the band's leader who is 47 years old. Although Martin offered to assist her into the car, Glenn politely declined.
"A decent guy"
Glenn posted a photo of their car ride on Instagram, and it caused quite a stir. She shared this caption, "Saw me struggling to walk, stopped his car, and took me with him. Unbelievable. I can't believe that happened!" She referred to Chris Martin as "a decent guy."
During their car ride, the two enjoyed a heart-to-heart talk, which led Glenn to discover some interesting facts. She found out that Chris Martin was single, contrary to popular belief that he had been in a relationship with actress Dakota Johnson, who is 34. Glenn later expressed her admiration for Martin, "He's attentive to disabilities. He's such a nice guy."
When they arrived at the event, Martin still went the extra mile for his fan. He organized a golf cart to transport Glenn to the stage. However, she jokingly threatened to leave, "I'm 64, Chris. I don't go to festivals."
