Tony Bauer participates in the hunt for RTL's next "Superstar"

According to the rumour mill, comedy star Tony Bauer has officially become a part of RTL's "Supertalent" jury. He revealed the news during the live finale of "Let's Dance" on May 24th.

The sensation of "Let's Dance" before his sudden exit due to ill health, Tony Bauer made it public that he will be part of another show on RTL. His announcement came during the last episode of the dance contest, adding excitement to the viewers.

Bild had earlier reported about the possibility of Bauer's involvement in the show. Finally, both the broadcaster and the comedian confirmed the development. "Tony Bauer is the new member of the 'Supertalent' jury," headlined RTL.de.

RTL had proposed the offer to Bauer immediately after his "Let's Dance" exit, and Bauer was quick to accept it. He will share the jury panel with experienced celebrity Dieter Bohlen and Bruce Darnell. The comedy star will also have Ekaterina "Ekat" Leonova, a professional dancer from "Let's Dance", on his side. Repplacing Anna Ermakova, the lucky winner of the 16th season of the RTL dance show, Bauer will join the trio.

The production of "Supertalent" has just started with auditions. The popular dance show's finale will be hosted by Jens "Knossi" Knossalla and Victoria Swarovski, who was also a contestant in "Let's Dance". The show will be missing Tony Bauer for now as he has to withdraw due to health issues. Tony suffers from short bowel syndrome which requires him to consume astronaut food through an implant in his chest. His childhood small intestine removal makes him dependent on external nutrition supply.

The healthcare problem led to Bauer's early elimination from "Let's Dance". RTL communicated the unfortunate news through their Instagram channel. "Unfortunately, Tony Bauer has to leave 'Let's Dance' for health reasons," they said, along with a video of the comedian breaking the unpleasant truth.

"The whole thing is bad luck," he emphasised, adding that his inadequate energy levels despite countless efforts made him leave the show.
