Nazan Eckes: A Person of Interest - The kids fail to recognize the divorce.
Nazan Eckes (48) and her former spouse Julian Khol (44) are practicing the "nest model" following their separation. The popular TV personality and the artist, both parents of two sons (born in 2014 and 2016), split in 2022. Eckes discusses their novel living situation in the latest "Gala" issue, "We still raise our children in the same house. Julian and I take turns staying there to avoid disrupting their lives continuously."
The 48-year-old continues, "It's unlikely our kids would mind we're divorced. They understand the situation. However, we still spend a considerable amount of time together, and that necessitates sacrificing our egos to reach agreements." She expresses her satisfaction with how she's managed the arrangements.
Regarding herself, Eckes admits in the "Gala" interview, "I love who I am today. I've never liked myself more than before." She acknowledges that she was heavily influenced by others in the past. "In fact, that was just a few years ago. I allowed others to lead me." Then one day, she decided, "It's time to dramatically transform my life, as I'm not 20 anymore - now or never."
Eckes, who disguised herself as Robodog in ProSeven's "The Masked Singer" this season and recently partnered with fashion brand "Maison Ju" to create a collection, has experienced significant changes. In March 2022, her father passed away due to Alzheimer's complications, prompting Eckes to take a hiatus from television for care. In mid-October 2022, the public learned of her divorce from Khol (married since 2012). In the spring, Eckes had revealed her plans to step down from her host role on "Extra" and end her RTL exclusive contract. #
