The Beatles' iconic movie glows brilliantly in a fresh light.

Back in 1969, Michael Lindsay-Hogg captured the Beatles while they were rehearsing for their last studio album titled "Let It Be". This docudrama came into being at a time when the Beatles were separating from their hometown, Liverpool. Today, after 54 years, this remarkable piece of film has been restored and is accessible.

John Lennon had expressed his thoughts about the sessions featured in the documentary "Let It Be" as the "most miserable sessions ever". Observers may not necessarily agree with Lennon's sentiment. Released in 1970 as part of the band's separation year, the movie garnered limited recognition.

However, the recent release of the three-part Peter Jackson documentary "Get Back" in 2021 has rekindled interest in the original film. The film is now available on Disney+ in a restored form, and it's a must-watch for all, not just die-hard fans. People should take advantage of this musical time capsule that shouldn't be missed!

Tune in to the latest episode of the ntv podcast "Oscars & Himbeeren" by Ronny Rüsch for a more in-depth review of "Let It Be". In addition, get your hands on the three-part Peter Jackson feature "The Beatles: Get Back" and the documentary "The Beach Boys".
