According to reports, the 66-year-old ("Fargo") actor was struck in the face by a man in the Manhattan borough on Wednesday. An eyewitness shared, "I saw him with a woman, then I saw him collapsing and falling behind a nearby window."
The police issue a description of the assailant
Buscemi was rushed to a nearby hospital with a swollen eye and bleeding. As of now, no arrests have been made in this case, and the investigation is ongoing. Just a month ago, actor Michael Stuhlbarg, who worked with Buscemi on the TV series "Boardwalk Empire", was assaulted by someone who threw a rock at his neck whilst walking in Central Park. Stuhlbarg managed to chase after the attacker, and the police managed to apprehend him.
