Robert Geiss shed twelve kilos in weight.

Wealthy Robert Geiss shed a significant amount of weight - over 26 pounds - recently, and he credits it to a contentious weight loss injection. Meanwhile, his wife Carmen lost around seven pounds, but hasn't joined Robert in using the injection due to having low blood pressure already and concerns about its safety.

Robert Geiss has dramatically lost weight - around 11.9 stones - in the last six months. In an interview with the "Bild" newspaper, he shared that this significant reduction in weight was largely thanks to the tension-filled weight loss injection getting a lot of buzz lately, rather than exercise and mindful eating. He says "Ozempic" has worked "wonderfully" for him, as it not only aided in weight loss, but also improved his high blood pressure. Few alterations had to be made to his lifestyle since the injection allowed him to maintain similar eating and drinking habits, "just less overall."

Before Robert started the medication, he visited several doctors to discuss it. Their advice: "If you've lost twelve kilos and feel so good, i.e. you don't have any side effects, then I should go ahead with it." Now, weighing in at 137.16 pounds, Robert feels it's his ideal weight and he has no plans to lose any more. Treatment with the drug continues weekly for him. It costs 180 euros a month, and he explains, "In Dubai, I don't need a prescription for it. In Monaco, I can only get it with a prescription from my family doctor."

Carmen Geiss also weighed less now, down five and a half stones, but the couple's tastes in weight loss remedies differed. She revealed she "can't take it," having tried the injection previously but worrying about her preexisting low blood pressure. Instead, Carmen prefers to do cleanses twice a year.

Known as a treatment for type 2 diabetes, semaglutide is used as a non-surgical slimming agent by some, with celebrities jumping on the bandwagon. However, the drug is very controversial since long-term studies have not been conducted, and potential negative effects include nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, low blood pressure, dizziness, and, in rare cases, pancreatitis. Additionally, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the US has indicated that the medication may raise the risk of thyroid cancer.
