Medical professionals enforce compulsory hiatus for chief figure.
Bruce Springsteen, the 74-year-old singer, has been going through some health issues recently. Just a while ago, he had to postpone a concert in Marseille because of throat problems. Now, his doctors have suggested that he needs to take a break from his world tour.
The rock legend's concerts in Prague and Milan are cancelled. Springsteen was scheduled to perform in Prague with his E Street Band on Tuesday. In Milan, he was supposed to perform on June 1st and 3rd. A statement from his team shared on Instagram explained that since his Marseille show was postponed due to throat issues, the doctors ordered him to avoid performing for the next ten days.
The team plans to announce new dates for the Prague and Milan concerts soon. Fans can get their money back from the same platform they bought the tickets. Bruce Springsteen is recovering well, according to the statement, and his European tour will continue on June 12th in Madrid. His only stop in Germany will be on July 5th in Hanover.
In September 2022, Springsteen had to suspend the US part of his world tour because of a stomach ulcer. At that time, he cancelled all his US dates until the end of the year. In March 2024, he returned to Phoenix, Arizona, after recovering. The throat problems this time stemmed from the stomach ulcer. During a radio interview this spring, he mentioned that his vocal cords were hurting so bad due to the ulcer that he thought he might never be able to sing again.
Despite the ups and downs, Bruce Springsteen seems to be in good spirits, determined to keep going and entertain his fans once he's recovered.
