McConaugheys promote while bare-bottomed
Actors Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves have a casual approach to promoting their new tequila, aptly named Pantalones. They've been seen in various entertaining antics, playing games like croquet and pickleball without wearing pants.
McConaughey and Alves, who has Brazilian roots, introduced the tequila to the market in October. To support the brand, they carried on with their "no pants" policy, which has been a part of their lives since they started dating in 2007. Their recent croquet game is an example of this, where the duo are dressed in smart outfits but without pants. The picture, which was shared on both their Instagram accounts, shows them enjoying the game while being pixelated in certain areas to keep it family-friendly.
In another activity, McConaughey and Alves played a game of pickleball in May, once more without wearing pants. Their outfits included a sweater vest for Alves and a three-piece suit with a tie for McConaughey, with their lower halves remaining naked. As with the croquet game, certain pixelation has been applied when they were bent over to hit the ball over the net.
Their message for the brand, as they announced to People magazine, is to not take life too seriously. They believe that tequila should be first and foremost fun, and avoids any pretentiousness common in the industry. The duo stated: "We're proud of our tequila, not our pants. The tequila market has become quite snobby, and people have started treating tequila like wine. While we're big fans of tequila, we want to remind everyone not to forget that it's meant to be enjoyed."
The couple, aged 41 (Alves) and 54 (McConaughey), have been together since 2007. They got married in 2012 and are proud parents of three children: a son born in 2008, a daughter in 2010, and another son born in 2012.
