This eccentric pair stands out among the many couples seen on reality TV. Their age difference adds to the mystery of their relationship. Claudia Obert and her Max have been together for two years now. It's not just the age gap, but also the unique way Max made his feelings known to her.
At first, people may have thought Claudia Obert and Max Suhr's involvement was just for publicity purposes. But two years later, these two still appear as couples. They even managed to avoid the infamous breakups that EVERY couple on RTL's reality show "Summer House of Stars" seems to experience.
ETV caught up with Obert and Suhr at the edge of a party hosted by Drag Queen Olivia Jones in Hamburg for an interview. "We hang out here often; this is where we met," Obert mentioned, recollecting their first encounter. She had met her current guy in a nearby bar.
The initiative came from him, the reality TV star who's known for her Tom Collins addiction shared. How? By offering her... you guessed it!... a bottle of champagne. "I didn't know which one of the two friends he was talking about," said Obert. "You might never know who wants a piece of you," Suhr teased with a grin.
Wedding Bell or Champagne Bell?
"How do you win a woman's heart? With a bottle of champagne, in this case," Suhr said, explaining their meet-cute. "Unfortunately, I didn't have the wedding ring on me. So it was just a bottle of champagne. But it worked. We've been happily together for two years," said Suhr, adding to the conversation. However, he quickly added, "There's no talk of marriage or engagement right now." And Obert agreed, "Marriage and engagement discussions are off the table."
At first, it sounds like they had big wedding plans. "We had already planned the wedding. There's even a ring, but Claudia shouldn't know about it yet," Suhr shared with Bild, a German newspaper, a few months ago. There were also plans to adopt two kids.
It seems like they've both become more independent now. And who knows? Maybe Max will find the already purchased ring again. That's when the wedding bells could ring!
