A frightening assault on popular actor Steve Buscemi has made headlines on May 8. The actor, who's famous for his roles in films like "Reservoir Dogs" by Quentin Tarantino and "The Big Lebowski," was ambushed in broad daylight in New York. A man hit the 66-year-old Buscemi in the face, resulting in bruising and swelling for the star, along with a wounded left eye. Williams, the alleged assailant, has since been detained by New York City's law enforcement authorities as per "Deadline" and other sources.
TheNYPD identified Williams as a 50-year-old homeless individual. After the attack, Williams is reported to have altered his appearance and escaped from the Manhattan district where he had attacked Buscemi.
