A frightening update for fans of the jungle duo: Leyla Lahouar shares a story from the hospital featuring an emergency neck brace. It turns out that she and her boyfriend Mike Heiter got into a car accident. While the details of the mishap aren't clear, their injuries are still being assessed.
With a somber look, Leyla shares in her post, "Hello everyone, just wanted to let you know I'm okay. (...) Mike and I have had a car accident." As heartbreaking as it is, the reality star shares that she doesn't know where Mike is currently. "I really hope he's on his way to me," she says with a trembling voice. "But please don't worry and just pray that he makes it quickly and everything's alright."
Earlier on Saturday, the couple was in high spirits, filming themselves in a positive way in a parked car on their way to Paderborn for club night. "Leyla's at the wheel," Mike had announced, beaming. Leyla joined in as she happily said, "Yes! We're together in the car at last."
The day before, they had spent time celebrating Mike's mother's birthday. "I met her today - I really enjoyed it," Leyla had said a few hours before the mishap.
Following the news, fans were understandably anxious. However, an update soon came in, "Quick update: Leyla and Mike are safe and receiving great care. They'll contact you soon!" Mike's friend and agent announced on Instagram.
