Lenny Kravitz remains committed to celibacy, searching for the appropriate partner.
In a recent conversation with The Guardian, Kravitz shared his experience of uncovering his father's infidelity, which he detailed in his 2020 memoir. His dad allegedly informed him that he too would follow in his footsteps and cheat on his spouse.
"He was right. After my marriage to Lisa Bonet, I started resembling him more. I was becoming a womanizer," Kravitz revealed to The Guardian.
The celebrated singer and guitarist subsequently parted ways with Bonet in 1993 and addressed his cheating behaviors.
"I didn't like it. I didn't want to be that kind of person. So I had to work on it, and it took a lot of time," he admitted.
"To tackle it involved taking responsibility and exercising self-control to not let my own urges take over," he added.
Kravitz mentioned that he hasn't been in a meaningful relationship for the past nine years. The journalist inquired about Kravitz's truthfulness regarding his previous statement of desiring to be celibate until he found the ideal partner. Kravitz confirmed his dedication.
"Yes, it's a spiritual matter," he responded.

Previously, Kravitz spoke candidly about his choice to remain celibate, sharing with CBS Sunday Morning in 2008 that he thought "in the long run, that's going to help me find the right person."
"So I'm not going back on that. That's an oath I made to God three years ago," he said then.
Kravitz has been romantically connected to celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Adriana Lima, and Kylie Minogue in the past.
Now, he shares, "I've become very set in my way of life."
