John Travolta pays tribute to late wife Kelly Preston on Mother's Day
Veteran actor John Travolta marks the special occasion of Mother's Day by remembering his late wife Kelly Preston, who passed away four years ago. Taking to Instagram, Travolta shared heartfelt messages and pictures of Preston alongside their children, Ella Bleu and Benjamin and their deceased son, Jett.
Posting several images, he penned a moving caption that read, "Happy Mother's Day, Kelly. We love you, we miss you." The touching message was evidently well-received as daughter Ella reciprocated with a string of heart emojis in the comments section.
Among the pictures, one showed Preston outdoors, selling homemade cakes with Ella and Benjamin. Another was another photograph, taken on a previous Mother's Day, featuring Jett, Benjamin and Kelly embracing gift bags and a card from their children.
Recalling family memories on special days
Travolta also shared images, including a black-and-white photo of Kelly and Ella with Jett as a toddler. In the image, Preston is seen kissing a smiling Ella while seated next to Jett.
Preston, aged 57, succumbed to breast cancer in July 2020. She had been married to John Travolta since 1991. Their elder son, Jett, also lost his life to a seizure when he was just 16 years old in January 2009 while on a vacation in the Bahamas. Travolta took to his Instagram in April to mark the day Jett would have turned 32 years old. He uploaded a heartwarming photograph of himself and Kelly giving a warm hug to their son, along with an emotional message, "Happy birthday, my Jetty - not a day goes by when you're not with me!"
