Jeremy Renner has trouble feeling grumpy these days.

Jeremy Renner can't help but relive his near-death encounter with a snowplow every night. Since his dramatic incident in 2023 as part of the Marvel franchise, the Hollywood actor, famously known as Hawkeye, says it's virtually impossible for him to have a bad day.

New Year's Day in 2023 brought about a life-changing event for Jeremy Renner. That day, the Marvel star found himself under the wheels of a snowplow. To this day, Renner claims that he sees the accident in his nightmares and daydreams. At 53 years old, he shared these terrifying experiences with the Los Angeles Times.

Credentials like his Hollywood fame, being a member of the Screen Actors Guild, and a healthy insurance policy were of little help in preventing physical and emotional expenses. Renner believes it's his resilient personality (probably with some divine intervention) that helped him recover in just a few months rather than years, even though he was initially predicted to be sidelined for much longer.

Although the financial burden of the recovery process was significant, Renner's outlook on life is profoundly positive. He says, "Who cares? I'm alive. I've got a smile on my face, and nothing can change that. Nope, I can't even have a bad day."

Back to Work Years After

Renner was fortunate enough to return to work less than a year after the tragedy, currently wrapping up season three of "Mayor of Kingstown." At first, the actor found it peculiar to be back on the set, considering his struggles with walking after the accident. He admits to occasional sleepiness during filming because of his exhaustive work schedule.

Realizing that he was taking on more tasks than he could manage, the crew adapted accordingly. "I'm willing to do anything, but I just don't know if I can," Renner explains. His four months on a Pittsburgh location set had him experiencing jet lag, so the producers restructured the shooting schedule to accommodate him. Ironically, Renner joked that he now felt like a 14-year-old, dubbing himself, "The Mayor of Kingstown."

Despite his busy schedule on the set of "Mayor of Kingstown," Jeremy Renner often finds himself reminiscing about his near-death experience with a snowplow. The Hollywood actor, known for his role in the Marvel universe, shares, "Marvel movies and entertainment in general remind me of how lucky I am to be alive after that accident."

Unfortunately, traffic accidents on Hollywood's busy streets are a common occurrence, often causing delays and disrupting the smooth flow of production. Renner once commented, "I could've been one of those statistics, but somehow, I ended up on the other side of that snowplow disaster."
