Aristocratic ranks in society - In Denmark, King Frederik marks his initial anniversary as monarch.
The brand new Danish King Frederik X lately marked his initial birthday as part of his reign. Looking cheerful and waving, the 56-year-old sovereign stood on the balcony of Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen at noon, together with his family.
Accompanying him were his mom Queen Margrete (84), his spouse Queen Mary (52), as well as his 4 children: 18-year-old Crown Prince Christian, 17-year-old Princess Isabella, and the twin siblings Princess Josephine and 13-year-old Prince Vincent. The attires of both queens matched - they'd both adorned themselves in bright pink clothing.
Based on the Danish news source Ritzau, the royal household explained they planned to invest the remainder of their day privately. Frederik took over the throne from his mother at the commencement of the year just after she unexpectedly shared her choice to abdicate in her New Year's address.
