Actor Heinz Hoenig is undergoing recovery after a difficult operation on his oesophagus. His wife decided to surprise him at the hospital with their son for the first time, leading to emotional tears.
Annika Kärsten-Hoenig, his wife, described this special moment to RTL, "It was such a great surprise to see me at the door with the little one. There were so many tears of joy! Juliano was also very happy and gave his dad a big kiss. It was a lovely moment."
Hoenig is currently staying at the hospital after a serious operation on his oesophagus. Annika expressed her gratitude to the doctors who allowed their three-year-old son, Juliano, to see his ill father. "Heinz finds strength in his children at this moment."
Speaking of strength, Hoenig's wife has always considered him as "the strongest man in the world, a fighter who never gives up, for his children, for me, and for all his fans". The 33-year-old also emphasized that he has been doing well considering the circumstances.

Preparing for the next procedure
Apart from the oesophagus surgery, the 72-year-old actor requires another major operation. He needs a new aorta. His wife relayed that Hoenig is faring well given his condition.
Due to the lack of health insurance for Hoenig, a GoFundMe account has been established to monetarily support his life-saving treatment. His colleagues and admirers have donated more than 160,000 euros to date, enabling the much-loved actor to afford the necessary care.
