Harry Styles reportedly back on the market
Harry Styles and Taylor Russell reportedly called it quits following their trip to Japan, as per an unnamed source from "The Sun." Apparently, their relationship hit a rough patch and both have been taking some time apart since.
The couple, whose relationship hadn't been officially confirmed yet, had been together for over a year with Styles last being seen with her at the New York Met Gala in March. Styles was in London at the time while Russell attended the event without her then-boyfriend.
The split was unexpected because Styles, known for his past relationships with high-profile celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, Camille Rowe, and Olivia Wilde, had apparently expressed his desire to start a family with Russell. While they seemed to enjoy their time together initially, the distance between the couple - Styles in America, Russell in London - is said to have taken a toll on their relationship.
"Harry and Taylor experienced some difficulties during their stay in Japan," the source stated. "The distance between the two, with him being in America and her in London, has made things complicated." The pair's hectic schedules, both with individual careers, also took a toll on their relationship. "They were very supportive of each other," the source added. "They were a lovely couple, but things have become strained recently."
Following their breakup, Russell was seen spending time with her kids and focusing on her work in LA. As for Styles, he's been touring, performing at various shows. "Harry had already achieved all the fame he could, and now he's ready to start a new chapter," a friend of the singer told The Daily Mail in March. "He's in love with Taylor and wants to start a family with her."
However, it turns out the notion of starting a family might not be a part of Styles' agenda for the time being, as the couple has decided to part ways amicably. "Harry's always on tour and abroad," a source told People in November. "Taylor's focused on her kids and work in L.A. They're still very close friends." Styles spent most of 2022 with Wilde, but the two split in November, with a friend disclosing, "It's a very amicable decision."
