Actress Rumer Willis in the Spotlight - Bruce Willis shines in the role of a grandfather.
Since the '80s, Bruce Willis, known for his roles in action films like "Die Härte des Gesetzes," has been a major player in Hollywood. Unfortunately, his family revealed last year that the actor is dealing with dementia and can no longer work in front of the camera. Since then, his daughters Rumer (35), Tallulah (30), and Scout Willis (32) have been frequently sharing updates on his health and emotional messages about their dad. In a recent episode of the US TV show "Today," Rumer, the eldest daughter, spoke about their family life and how her father is thriving in his new role as a "grandpa."
Rumer on her father's role as a grandpa: "He's doing great"
The actress spoke about watching her dad in action as a grandpa, ever since the birth of her daughter Louetta (1) in April 2023. She shared, "He's doing great. I actually saw him not long before I came to New York. Lou is just starting to walk. She went to him and it was so touching to see." Seeing her father so happy despite his illness brought back plenty of memories from her childhood. Rumer has always been daddy's little girl, and she recounted that he loved spending time with his grandkids. She believes that being a grandparent is one of the best parts of life. "You have all the love and joy without the responsibility", said Rumer Willis. "You get to spoil them."
Action star is father of five daughters
Apart from his granddaughter Louetta, Bruce Willis is now also caring for his two youngest daughters, Mabel (12) and Evelyn (10), with his current wife Emma Heming-Willis (45). Before that, he was married to fellow actor Demi Moore (61) for a while, from 1987 to 2000.
