Brad Pitt's daughter decides to shed his surname.
Back in 2016, Angelina Jolie split from Brad Pitt following a presumed violent episode with one of their collective six kids. To this day, their relationship remains tense. Now, Jolie and Pitt's second daughter seems to have ditched the "Pitt" from her last name.
The 15-year-old twin daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, is reportedly no longer using "Pitt" in her name. She's credited as "Vivienne Jolie" in the program for the new musical "The Outsiders," which she helped her mom Jolie with. According to US magazine "People," it's unclear if she's officially changed her last name.
In the short description of her mom in the program, it's mentioned that Jolie's "excited" to work on her very first theater project as a producer alongside her daughter Vivienne, who's passionate about theater and the arts. Jolie shared her plans for the show - an adaption of Francis Ford Coppola's 1983 flick - back in August 2023 in a press release. The play had its debut in April.
Vivienne's not the only one showing signs of a possible name change. Her 9-year-old sister Zahara, too, was seen as Zahara Marley Jolie when she was welcomed into the AKA sorority at Spelman College last November. The link between Brad Pitt and his children has been strained for a while.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt parted ways over seven years ago, and have been battling it out in court over custody of their six shared kids. Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, surprising everyone. She claimed Pitt lost it on a plane and attacked their son Maddox. The two had been together since 2005, but didn't actually tie the knot until 2014. They share three biological and three adopted children.

The legal proceedings between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie over their children's custody have been ongoing for over seven years, following Jolie's filing for divorce in 2016 over allegations of Pitt's violent behavior. Amidst this, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, one of their daughters, has started being credited as "Vivienne Jolie" in her entertainment projects, potentially hinting at a name change.
