After a five-month hiatus from television, the person makes their long-awaited return. - Anne's Perspective on Time-Outs and the Divine Plan
Towards the conclusion of last year, Anne Will (58), who was the host of her self-named political talk show on First channel, bid farewell to her position for the very last time. She held back from the television spotlight for five months before making a comeback on the Radio Bremen talk show "3nach9" on NDR as a guest, hosted by Judith Rakers (48) and Giovanni di Lorenzo (65).
During the show, she reflected candidly on her decision to leave her long-running talk show after 16 years as the moderator. When asked if she missed anything, Will candidly replied to di Lorenzo, "I miss nothing." While she didn't take the decision to decline contract renewal lightly, she acknowledged she pondered thoroughly on whether she should continue her talk show.
From apprehension to excitement towards what's in store
While everything was going smoothly for her, she couldn't help but feel that her career could provide so much more than merely driving to Berlin-Adlershof every Sunday and sitting in the identical setup to film the show. Still, the process of stopping and redirecting herself required a great deal of bravery, as she feared she'd be consumed by a void without a set weekly task.
Initially, her apprehension regarding not being mentally stimulated after leaving her own TV show eased into a novel project. With the talk show "Politics with Anne Will," the moderator joined the podcasters in mid-April and seems to relish in her new role, expressing how vibrant and phenomenal the medium now feels to her: "I feel so much more alive and find this new medium, which I am also newly discovering, to be remarkably brilliant."
