"Barters for Rarities" - An affordable timepiece purchased at a marketplace proves to be surprisingly valuable.

A vintage watch named "Stingray" leads Sandra Küster and her brother Thorsten Menzner to the antiques show "Bares für Rares". Her husband picked it up at a flea market for merely five euros. The expert Sven Deutschmann notices the clock's potential, being known for his interest in vintage watches. Deutschmann confirms it as a "Stingray" chronograph made by the Swiss brand Roamer, which derives its name from the marine animal stingrays. It dates back to 1969/70 and operates on a manual winding mechanism.

Sandra hopes to get 750 euros for her husband's clock, and Deutschmann agrees to its value being between 750 and 850 euros. The sellers are content with Deutschmann's appraisal.

Sand and her brother sit among the dealers, and even they express interest in the chronometer. Daniel Meyer initiates the bidding at 200 euros, and the price escalates up to 500 euros. Despite the interest, the dealers are uncertain of its worth, so they question Sven's assessment.

Upon hearing 850 euros as an estimated value, nervous glances exchange between the bidders. Finally, David Suppes bags the item for 850 euros. The five-euro flea market purchase has turned out to be quite profitable!

While many regret missing an opportunity to own a Stingray chronograph, Sandra Küster still congratulates the winner and Declaring her satisfaction, and Daniel Meyer jokingly confides in the buyer that he and his sister enjoyed spending money on watches.
