Actor Til Schweiger reportedly checked into a hospital once more.
Actor and filmmaker Til Schweiger seems to be experiencing difficulty with his health recovery. Latest reports state that he's being treated in a hospital due to complications from a sepsis infection. Unfortunately, a needed heart surgery must be postponed.
Just recently, Schweiger spoke up for his struggling peer actor Heinz Hoenig. However, it appears that his own wellbeing remains a worry.
As reported by the "Bild" newspaper, the 60-year-old is currently residing in a clinic in Berlin. Friends are worried since they can't get in touch with the movie-maker. But, there's a logical reason for this, as per the "Bild" - Schweiger's children have taken his mobile phone away so that he can solely concentrate on his recuperation.
The cause for Schweiger's latest hospitalization is claimed to be his continuous struggle against the after-effects of a sepsis infection. He was admitted to a hospital in Mallorca earlier this April due to this issue. It's said that he attained the infection through a shin wound. At one point, amputation of his leg was even considered due to the extent of the infection.
"Bild" now reveals that the shin injury which caused the sepsis is still not fully healed. Thus, Schweiger cannot have the necessary heart surgery. The risk of complications is far too high.
Earlier, it was speculated that Schweiger would receive a heart operation from a specialist in Berlin. According to "Bild"'s information, they intend to insert a stent to clear a blood vessel - a result of Schweiger's long-term smoking habit.

Despite his advocacy for his fellow actor Heinz Hoenig, Til Schweiger's health remains a significant concern. His current illness has kept him in a Berlin hospital, as reported by "Bild," and his phone has been taken away by his children to aid in his focused recovery.
Unfortunately, Schweiger's ongoing struggle against the after-effects of a sepsis infection has hindered his scheduled heart surgery. The risk of complications is too high due to the unhealed shin injury responsible for the infection.
