Actor Nick Pasqual is accused of attempting to murder his former partner by stabbing her.

Nick Pasqual, a 34-year-old man, was arrested for three serious charges: attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse/partner/parent of a child. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office was in charge of the case.

Pasqual is said to have attacked his ex-girlfriend at her residence in the Sunland region of L.A. on May 23. CNN requested a comment from Pasqual's representative, but no response was provided as of yet. There's no confirmation if Pasqual has obtained legal representation.

A statement from District Attorney George Gascon read: "My thoughts and sympathies go out to the victim in this appalling event. Our office, including the Bureau of Victim Services, will be providing support and resources to her during this challenging time. This incident serves as a cautionary tale of the dangers of domestic violence, and we'll ensure the perpetrator is brought to justice for their actions."

The press release from Gascon's office mentions that Pasqual broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend, who had recently filed a restraining order against him. However, the victim's identity was not revealed. The news release, though, claims that she is a 35-year-old Hollywood makeup artist, as CNN affiliate KABC affirmed.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to raise money for the woman's medical expenses, which has been confirmed by the platform. The organizers wrote: "She is a lovely person, filled with warmth, kindness, and loving nature. Nobody deserves to endure this traumatic experience."

Pasqual is said to have escaped and been caught at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas, as stated in the news release. He'll be transferred to Los Angeles County, where he could potentially spend the rest of his life in prison if found guilty.
