Misused Resources - Actor Chris Pratt celebrated his initial paycheck, only to find that it had vanished within two months.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" actor Chris Pratt has been in the limelight since his role in the Marvel film. However, he had a taste of fame earlier than that - though it didn't last. On the radio show "Sway In The Morning," Pratt shared the story of his first major financial gain and how it didn't last. "I'd been living on very little money for a long time, and the first big job I got was a TV movie. I received $75,000," he said in a YouTube video clip.
With the $75,000 check, or about €69,000, Pratt thought, "I'll never spend all this money." So, he decided to use it for travel, visiting Hawaii and Australia. In his youthful exuberance, he even considered buying a yacht. "And about two months later, I asked myself, 'Where's all the money gone?'" he said.
Chris Pratt's Awakening to Financial Responsibility
Pratt didn't learn a healthy relationship with money due to limited opportunities until he lost his fortune. This realization was part of his personal growth. "Becoming financially responsible was one of the steps in my maturation for me," he explained.
Chris Pratt's financial situation has changed since then. He gained fame in 2002 through the TV series "Everwood." Over the years, he appeared in many big-budget action films, including "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Passengers." Additionally, his marriage to Katherine Schwarzenegger (daughter of action star Arnold Schwarzenegger) provides financial stability. They've been married since 2019.

After his initial financial mishap, Chris Pratt learned the importance of financial responsibility. In an interview, he mentioned, "My salary from 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and other movies has significantly improved my financial situation."
Despite his current financial stability, Pratt often shares his past experiences on YouTube, aiming to educate others about money management. Speaking about his early days, he said, "I used to think that $100,000 in US dollars was a lot of money, but now I earn that in a few movie roles."
Furthermore, Pratt has started investing his earnings, particularly in ventures related to health and fitness. He shared his thoughts on YouTube, saying, "Investing in my passion for fitness has not only made me healthier but also helped me manage my finances more effectively."
