Earlier, Damián had been living in Denmark due to his involvement in football with his dad Rafael van der Vaart (41). Sylvie Meis had been married to the former Dutch football star from 2005 to 2013. Rafael van der Vaart also began his professional journey as a junior at Ajax Amsterdam.
Sylvie Meis, born Dutch but making Hamburg, Germany her residence, is currently single. She was involved in a romance with Dutch entrepreneur Wim Beelen for several months. In contrast, her ex-husband Rafael van der Vaart has been in a relationship with the Dutch handball player Estavana Polman (31) since 2016. Along with their daughter, born in 2017, they reside in Denmark.
