Tennis - Zverev reaches round three in three sets at Wimbledon
French Open Finalist Alexander Zverev advances easily into the third round at Wimbledon. The world number four won against American Marcos Giron clearly with scores of 6:2, 6:1, 6:4, and will therefore be the second German tennis player, after Jan-Lennard Struff, to reach the quarterfinals. On Saturday, Zverev faces Brit Cameron Norrie in the classic grass-court event in London, against whom he has won all five previous encounters.
After the first two rounds at Wimbledon, Zverev is still without dropping a set. The German top player, who lost the final in Paris in five sets against Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, is in pursuit of his long-desired first Grand Slam title.
