Actress Christina Hoffmann (45) portrays TV detective Judith Moln in the Saarland and the border area with France – and feels right at home in the neighboring nation, although she can't quite put her finger on why. "France and Germany are intertwined for me. I have a strong affection for this country too. I can't rationalize this affection," the actress shared with Deutsche Presse-Agentur.

She's fairly fluent in French, yet still, she feels at home in France every time she visits. "It's like I'm home again," Hoffmann expressed. "And it's not due to a specific place or the cuisine. It's an emotion." Nevertheless, Hoffmann also admires the Saarland and its people. "The welcoming and lively atmosphere, the approach: 'Take a seat, join in – share your tale.' Barrier-free."

Christina Hoffmann will next appear in her role as Judith Moln with Commissioner Freddy Breier (Robin Sondermann) and former investigator Markus Zerner (Rudolf Kowalski) in the eighth case of the crime series "In Truth" on August 31 on ZDF (8:15 PM), with the episode "Between Law and Justice" already available for streaming.

Despite her proficiency in French, Christina Hoffmann finds a familiar sense of comfort during her visits to France, often declaring, "It feels like home again." Furthermore, her affection for France extends beyond specific locations or foods, stemming from an emotional connection.
