Renowned director Steven Spielberg and acclaimed actor Tom Hanks are currently present in France. They're attending events to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day. These two Hollywood giants are celebrated for their collaboration in the Academy Award-winning movie "Saving Private Ryan" from 1998, which revolves around the June 6, 1944 occurrence. On this momentous date, Allied troops embarked on landing in Normandy during World War II. Spielberg and Hanks also collaborated in the miniseries "Band of Brothers - We Were Like Brothers" (2001), where D-Day played a significant role.

Tom Hanks was sighted by "NBC News" during a US ceremony at the "Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial" in Colleville-sur-Mer, where he had a conversation with Steven Spielberg. US President Joe Biden (81) is set to deliver a speech there. Following this, more than 25 leaders are anticipated to gather at Omaha Beach in Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer for a massive international commemoration event.
