Kim Virginia reveals - Wounded AfD politician is her stepfather.
Following a lethal knife assault on a police officer in Mannheim recently, there's been a different violent incident in Baden-Württemberg's city. In light of reports from various news sources, the AfD city councillor Heinrich Koch (62) was wounded by a presumably mentally unstable 25-year-old guy with a carpet knife. Kim Virginia (29), a reality star who was previously a part of "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!" cast, disclosed that her stepfather is the victim.
"My stepfather is the only father figure I have, and he was just attacked with a knife," Kim Virginia stated sorrowfully on her social media platform while speaking with RTL. "I don't know how he's doing and if he's going to recover from this. I'll let you know the details. I just know multiple stabs were made."
As per "Bild" newspaper, she later offered the promised update: "I wept all night, he's my only real father, the only father figure in my life. This attack could have been fatal." According to a statement by the police and prosecutor's office on Wednesday, Koch was not critically injured, according to information from "Welt".
She reached out to the general public
Initial findings suggest that this was not a politically charged attack. There are indications of a mental illness, and a judge has already authorized the alleged perpetrator's placement in a psychiatric institution.
Kim Virginia initially intended to keep the identities of her parents hidden from the public. Hoping that the information would surface somehow due to the attack, she decided to disclose her stepfather's identity in her social media statement. Regarding her parents' "political activities," she said: "I'm not involved in that, that's entirely unrelated to me and I won't comment on it."
