Princess Kate - Wimbledon-Cup for Carlos Alcaraz
Princess Kate (42) presented the trophy to the overwhelming winner, Alcaraz, after the Wimbledon Men's Final between veteran Novak Djokovic (37) and rising star Carlos Alcaraz (21). The Spaniard Alcaraz defended his Wimbledon title from the previous year with an outstanding performance against the Serbian Djokovic in just three sets with scores of 6:2, 6:2 and 7:6 (7:4). After the match point, Princess Kate made her way from the Royal Box where she watched the final with her daughter Charlotte (8) and her sister Pippa Matthews (40), towards the Centre Courts.
There, in her role as Patron of the hosting All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, she congratulated Alcaraz for his performance. Before dedicating herself to her official duties, she couldn't resist greeting and speaking with the ball boys and girls with a handshake.
Princess Kate made her second public appearance since her diagnosis
For Princess Kate, her appearance at the Wimbledon Final was her second public outing since the announcement of her cancer diagnosis. Currently, the wife of the heir to the throne, Prince William (42), is still undergoing her cancer treatment, receiving preventive chemotherapy. For the Wimbledon Final, Kate chose a lilac Etik dress in Midi length with frills in front and a comfortable skirt part. On the bench, she also protected herself from the sun with a large sun hat.
