King Frederik X of Denmark - Will he come to the European Championship clash against Germany?

At the EM Group match between Denmark and England last Thursday, both teams received royal support from the stands. Prince William (42) and the Danish King Frederik X. (56) took turns on the honorary podium of the Deutsche-Bank Park in Frankfurt. They watched their teams put up a rather disappointing 1:1 draw. However, for the Quarterfinal matches of the two countries, it is expected to look different: The two national teams are likely to do without royal support.

According to the Danish Royal House's announcement on Thursday, June 27, King Frederik and his wife, Queen Mary (52), will embark on an already planned official visit to Greenland. Currently, the royal presence of the monarch at the Quarterfinal match against Germany on Saturday in Stuttgart Stadium starting at 9 pm is not anticipated. Instead, the two will travel to Greenland, where their royal yacht Dannebrog will serve as their residence. The visit is expected to last until July 8. Greenland is a politically self-governing part of Denmark, making King Frederik X. the official head of state of the largest island in the world.

Will Prince William attend the Quarterfinal in Gelsenkirchen?

There is currently no information available regarding a return journey of Prince William to Germany. His English team is set to play against Slovakia in Gelsenkirchen on the coming Sunday for a place in the semifinals. Prince William, who is known as a dedicated football fan, is the President of The Football Association (FA), the highest-ranking football association in England, comparable to the DFB here. A spontaneous visit from the British heir to the throne is therefore not entirely ruled out, despite the palace's silence, due to his football association duties.
