NBA - Wagner brothers' winning streak snapped with Orlando

The impressive winning streak of the Orlando Magic with the two brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner in the NBA has come to an end. The national basketball players, who had previously celebrated nine wins in a row with their team, lost at the Brooklyn Nets by a clear 101:129. Franz Wagner (20 points) was his team's top scorer together with Cole Anthony. Brother Moritz scored 18 points.

However, Orlando is still clearly on course for the play-offs with a strong record of 14 wins and just six defeats. The team from Florida is second in the Eastern Conference behind the Boston Celtics.

Meanwhile,Daniel Theis and the Los Angeles Clippers managed to get revenge against the Golden State Warriors. Two days after the 114:120 defeat in California, the Clippers won the quick reunion in their own arena by the narrow margin of 113:112. However, the Clippers also had a bit of luck: With the clock running down, Draymond Green missed a three-pointer to give the Warriors a potential victory. Theis scored twelve points coming off the bench.

Without Maximilian Kleber, who is still injured on his toe, the Dallas Mavericks suffered a bitter home defeat. The Texans lost 120:126 to the Oklahoma City Thunder, with Dallas recklessly throwing away an impressive comeback. The Mavericks turned an 87:111 deficit into a temporary six-point lead with a 30:0 run in the final quarter, but were not able to hold on to it. Superstar Luka Doncic nevertheless put in a strong performance with 36 points and 18 assists.
