VfB promoted team earns sixth European Championship spot through a bakery's award.

Germany's Soccer Association is disclosing the team for the upcoming European Championship taking place this summer in their country. The Coach, Julian Nagelsmann, has handed a sixth invitation to a player from the south of Germany. Chris Führich earns this recognition due to his exceptional performance in the Bundesliga with VfB Stuttgart.

The bakery Seeger, in Nagold from the northern Black Forest, is promoting two delicacies on their website - Dinkelsprössle and a Bayrisch Creme strawberry slice. They've also presented Chris Führich with a ticket to the European Championships for the national soccer team. An earlier public disclosure occurred on the platform X, indicating that the VfB Stuttgart midfielder is included in Nagelsmann's roster for the tournament in summer.

The DFB acknowledged the online post, using an eye symbol, but confirmed the legitimacy of the bakery's bread bag with the caption "Chris Führich for Germany." The 26-year-old is thus the second professional, following Niclas Füllkrug, added to the team through online and media nominations. The intention: famous people, followers, social media influencers, and the media should heighten interest - stimulating anticipation for the probable dreamy summer event 2.0.

Führich played for the DFB team for the first time during the national team's tour to the USA in October 2023, winning a match 3-1 against the US in Hartford. Unfortunately, he was unable to participate in the following matches in November because of illness. However, he returned to the Nagelsmann lineup in March, competing against France (2-0) and the Netherlands (2-1). He acquires this ticket from the European Championship as a recognition for his remarkable play at VfB Stuttgart this season. Führich is part of the team as a substitute on the left side in the home European Championship (June 14-July 14), not expected to start.

So far, the DFB has announced six tickets to the European Championship. Preceding Führich, Nico Schlotterbeck, Jonathan Tah, Manuel Neuer, and Aleksandar Pavlovic have been picked. More announcements are expected throughout the day. The entire team will be unveiled at a gathering hosted by Nagelsmann in Berlin on Thursday, where it will be broadcast live 1 pm on ntv.
