Formula 1 in Hungary - Verstappen behind McLaren-Duo before qualifying

Lando Norris topped the final free practice session before the Formula-1 qualifying today (16:00 hours/Sky and RTL) with the fastest lap time. The British McLaren driver pushed his teammate Oscar Piastri to second place in the session.

Max Verstappen, the World Champion, finished third. He was only 0.277 seconds slower than Norris on the Hungaroring. In the World Championship standings before the Grand Prix of Hungary this Sunday (15:00 hours/Sky and RTL), Verstappen leads Norris by 84 points.

George Russell finished fourth in the third free practice session for Mercedes. His teammate Lewis Hamilton came in tenth. The British record seven-time World Champion has won the Pole Position in Hungary nine times and the Grand Prix at Budapest eight times.

Nico Hülkenberg finished seventh in the training session for Haas.
