Also won the last sprint race of the season: Max Verstappen.

Verstappen also wins sprint race in Brazil

Max Verstappen has also won the last sprint race of the year in Formula 1. From second on the grid, the 26-year-old Dutchman raced to victory in Brazil ahead of pole-setter Lando Norris. The Briton in the McLaren had had to let the Dutch Red Bull star pass him immediately after the start in São Paulo.

It was Verstappen's fourth win of the season in the sixth and final 100-kilometer race. "Great start to the weekend," congratulated Red Bull team boss Christian Horner over the radio. Verstappen can further polish up his Grand Prix record this Sunday (18:00/Sky) and extend his record series with his 17th win of the season.

Verstappen's team-mate Sergio Pérez from Mexico finished third in the sprint ahead of George Russell in the Mercedes. Nico Hülkenberg, the only German regular driver, finished 18th in the Haas race car.

Max Verstappen's victory in the sprint race in Brazil continues his dominance in the Motorsport world, as he now prepares for the main Grand Prix on Sunday in Formula 1. Despite starting from second on the grid, Lando Norris from McLaren couldn't hold off Verstappen's superior speed, eventually finishing second. Nico Hülkenberg, the only German regular driver, had a less successful sprint race, finishing 18th in the Haas race car.
