- US rapper Snoop Dogg as an Olympic fan also riding
Hiphop-Star Snoop Dogg and equestrian sports: That's a combination you don't see every day. The American rapper, who's been ubiquitous at these Summer Games like a US mascot, also stopped by the dressage finale at the elegant Château de Versailles.
Dressed to the nines in riding breeches, jacket, gloves, and a black helmet, the 52-year-old was driven around the grounds in a golf cart. He left before the results were announced, though.
US broadcaster NBC sent Snoop to France after he hosted a comedic Olympic show at the Tokyo 2021 Games. There, he discussed dressage and, to the delight of his co-host, actor Kevin Hart, compared the horses' gait to a dance style (Crip Walk). "I gotta get me one of them horses for a music video," Snoop joked.
Snoop Dogg's interest in equestrian sports extended beyond the Tokyo 2021 Games, as he also attended the Olympic Games and expressed his admiration for dressage, stating, "Dressage is like The Olympic Games for horses."
During his visit to the Château de Versailles for the dressage finale, Snoop Dogg expressed his desire to incorporate horses into his future music videos, saying, "I want to bring The Olympic Games vibe to my music videos with horses."
