United potentially sacking manager following FA Cup success; he expresses willingness to join another club to secure more victories.

Following a significant triumph and, more specifically, by outperforming an expected front-runner in the final match, teams often experience a time of celebration and contentment in their success.

United potentially sacking manager following FA Cup success; he expresses willingness to join another club to secure more victories.

Manchester United won the English FA Cup on Sunday, surprising many who thought they wouldn't stand a chance against Manchester City. However, Erik ten Hag's future with the team is uncertain as he's been reportedly fired, regardless of the outcome.

After the game, when asked about his future, Ten Hag mentioned his history of winning trophies.

"If they don't want me anymore, then I'll go anywhere else to win trophies. That's what I've done my whole career," he told reporters.

He also talked about the team's progress and their winning streak, mentioning the League Cup victory last year as an example.

"Two trophies in two years is not bad," he said. "We've reached three finals, which is not bad, but we need to keep going. I'm not satisfied with it."

CNN reached out to Manchester United for a comment on the reports that Ten Hag might lose his job.

The Dutch manager has been with the team for almost two years now. While he had a promising start, he ended up with United's worst-ever Premier League season this year, which didn't qualify for European football.

Earlier this month, United lost to Crystal Palace 4-0, which increased pressure on Ten Hag and gave the impression that the club was in a state of crisis.

Ten Hag blamed the inconsistency on an injury crisis, but the club has received new investment from British petrochemical billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, which raised expectations for improvements.

Being the underdogs going into the FA Cup final, many thought United would lose to City just like they did last year, after City had won the Premier League.

But Manchester United's young talents Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo scored in the first half, leading the team to a 2-1 victory over City.

In a post-match interview, Ten Hag talked about his work in progress.

"I'm in a project, and we're exactly where we want to be," he said. "When I took over, it was a mess at Man Utd. Now, we're working on constructing a team for the future. There's still a lot of work to do, but we're in the right place."

However, one trophy-winning performance might not be enough to save Ten Hag's position. The club has a history of sacking managers immediately after winning the FA Cup, as they did to Louis van Gaal in 2016. Additionally, Ten Hag hasn't brought the stability and success to United that they used to have back in the 1990s and 2000s.
