Undercover Youtuber sneaks into European Championship stadium, disguised as a mascot.

Internet personality Marvin Wildhage manages to skip stadium security at Munich Arena during the EURO opening game, thanks to a phony accreditation and a Maskottchen costume. He even makes it as close as the football field.

The video blogger Marvin Wildhage was banned from the stadium by UEFA after crashing the event illegally. UEFA acknowledged having dealt with a situation where a fake Maskottchen costume was involved, during the 5:1 match between Germany and Scotland. Three intruders were discovered to have sneaked into the stadium improperly.

Wildhage published a longer video account. In the footage, he unlawfully penetrated the stadium, using a fake accreditation and a Maskottchen Albaert costume. The video also shows scenes of security screenings. Hidden inside the costume, Wildhage was able to get near the football field, according to the images in the video. Eventually, he was detected, arrested, and handed over to court officers.

Youtuber disrupts German team training once more

UEFA stated they have taken suitable precautions and are conducting an internal investigation without revealing details.

Wildhage had already infiltrated the public training of the German national team prior to the tournament in Jena. He was temporarily given training gear and observed the players working on passing drills on the sidelines. Following the incident, a staff member escorted him to the sidelines. There, he was recognized by fans and requested autographs. "I thought Lukas Klostermann had snuck in," German national player Thomas Müller said afterwards.

The web sensation has quite the history with football: He also invaded the training sessions of Werder Bremen, Hertha BSC, and Hannover 96 beforehand.
