Unanticipated variables and last-minute surprises are contributing to thrilling commencements for Kohfeldt.

Struggles for Florent Kohfeldt and Darmstadt 98 in their debut:VAR intervenes multiple times, opponent gets sent off, and a late equalizer results in a 1:1 draw.

Darmstadt 98 vs Eintracht Braunschweig 1:1 (1:0)

New coach Florian Kohfeldt's debut with Darmstadt 98 in the 2nd Bundesliga was rocky, with the team only managing a 1:1 (1:0) draw against Eintracht Braunschweig. The match ended in a stalemate after Darmstadt conceded a late equalizer, leaving both teams still to secure their first victory of the season after five games.

Torsten Lieberknecht had experienced a lackluster start with Darmstadt, which led to his resignation. While Darmstadt now has two points, Braunschweig earned their first point of the season after four consecutive losses. Nevertheless, Braunschweig remains at the bottom of the table, and Darmstadt continues to scrape by in the relegation zone.

Sergio Lopez provided the home team with an opening goal in the 28th minute with a counterattack effort. However, tensions flared up after a collision involving Sven Köhler from Braunschweig, resulting in heated protests from the visitors. Coach Daniel Scherning of Braunschweig was subsequently shown a red card (30.). Fraser Hornby attempted to double Darmstadt's lead in the 61st minute, but the goal was disallowed due to a foul. Braunschweig kept pushing, but their efforts went unrewarded, with Rayan Philippe's shot striking the bar in the 77th minute. Levente Szabo (86.) finally equalized for Braunschweig, but Darmstadt's comeback attempt arrived too late.

Hannover 96 - 1. FC Kaiserslautern 3:1 (1:0)

Hannover 96 moved up in the rankings, thanks to their impressive home performances. Coached by Stefan Leitl, the Lower Saxony team recorded a 3:1 (1:0) victory over 1. FC Kaiserslautern, claiming their third win of the season in their third home game, with ten points securing them temporary third place in the relegation playoffs.

The Hannoverans had recorded home victories against Jahn Regensburg (2:0) and Hamburger SV (1:0), and further bolstered their position with goals from Hyun-Ju Lee (6.), Max Christiansen (73.), and Thaddäus Momuluh (90.+5). FCK coach Markus Anfang's team equalized through Ragnar Ache (56.), but suffered another setback following their crushing defeat against Hertha BSC (3:4).

The hosts had a perfect start, but Lee's goal was initially disallowed due to apparent offside. After a VAR review, the decision was overturned. The hosts maintained control and pressed for a second goal, while Kaiserslautern triumphed with little success, as their injured captain Marlon Ritter was largely absent. The visitors staged a comeback in the second half, with Ache heading the equalizer after the ball struck the crossbar. Both teams gave their all in the pursuit of the next goal, until Christiansen's deflected header from a corner put Hannover back in the lead and Momuluh sealed the victory in stoppage time.

SSV Ulm - 1. FC Nürnberg 1:2 (0:0)

  1. FC Nuremberg recorded a 2:1 (0:0) victory over SSV Ulm in the 3rd Liga, thanks to a dramatic late goal from Miro Klose in the 99th minute.

Miroslav Klose led FCK to a dramatic comeback in their nail-biting 2:1 (0:0) victory against SSV Ulm. Trailing 1:0 after Semir Telalovic's 51st-minute goal, FCK struggled in their second-division return, while the newly-promoted Ulm remained winless in the league. Stefanos Tzimas managed to equalize for FCK in the 64th minute.

The final minutes of the game became a nail-biting affair. With the score still level, Juli Justvan had an opportunity to put FCK in the lead, but his shot was blocked by the goal line. Just as it seemed the match would end in a stalemate, Telalovic scored the winning goal for Ulm. However, FCK was granted a penalty after the goalkeeper moved off the line too early, forcing a retake. Luca Schleimer failed to convert the initial penalty, but Taylan Duman, who had just come on, stepped up and scored the dramatic equalizer. Tzimas was then handed a red card for a foul in stoppage time.

Klose's heroic performance in the dying seconds of the match earned him a distinctive place in the memory of the Nuremberg fans, who celebrated wildly.

Despite the challenges in their debut match, Darmstadt 98's coach Florent Kohfeldt and the team showed resilience in a 1:1 draw against Eintracht Braunschweig, with Soccer action continuing even after a red card was shown to Braunschweig's coach Daniel Scherning. In the final minutes of the game, tensions were high as both teams vied for the winning goal, demonstrating their determination and passion for Soccer.
