UEFA prohibits "L'amour toujours" at the European Championships.

Images of racists songs flood Germany as a bar crowd in Sylt sings to the tunes of "L'amours toujours" and "Auslaender raus" during a party. This incident has led to the banning of the song for Austria's playlist in the upcoming European Championship (EM). The UEFA has made this decision after investigating the recent racism scandal in Germany. According to reports, Austria had been looking forward to using the popular song "L'amours toujours" as a celebration song after a win but have now been asked by the UEFA to remove it from their playlist. Austrian Football Association, which is known for its support for tolerance, diversity, and integration, declared that the song would not be played during their matches.

The controversial song "L'amours toujours," created by Italian artist Gigi D'Agostino, had become part of Austrian football team's victory celebrations. They had submitted it to the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) as part of their playlist for the Euro 2024. However, after a video of a Sylt bar crowd chanting racist slogans while singing the song, the UEFA informed the officials that the song could not be played.

The ban on "L'amours toujours" came as a shock to the Austrian team who were once known for playing the song after their victories. However, Vienna has not given up hope of playing the song at the Euro. The news agency dpa reported that the goal songs at the Euro 2024 would be the same for all the teams, and there might be a chance for teams to request specific warm-up or post-match songs. It is yet to be seen if "Major Tom" by Peter Schilling would be an alternative for the Austrian Football Association to celebrate their goals during the championship.
