A BBC reporter and television host, Michael Mosley, seems to have perished. BBC and "Guardian" reported that his body was found during the hunt for the missing 67-year-old. He went missing on the Greek island of Symi on June 5th at noon when he headed for a solo hike.
The body needs official verification
The deputy mayor of the island, Nikitas Grillas, confirmed the find to "Guardian," stating, "He was found in the area of Agia Marina." He added, "I can confirm that it is him." Nonetheless, the BBC mentioned that the body, which was discovered near a cliff, still needs official identification. A police source affirmed that the lifeless had been deceased "for several days."
Mosley vanished after leaving his spouse on the beach on a Wednesday and setting off for a trek. When he didn't arrive at 7:30 p.m., his wife reported him missing. A rescue mission ensued, involving not only the police and fire department but also volunteers, tracking dogs trained for the purpose, and a drone.
