Troublesome start: Ter Stegen's mistake leaves FC Barcelona in a predicament at the start of the season.

In the local league, Hansi Flick and FC Barcelona are performing admirably, leading to significant anticipation for the Champions League. However, their League opener in Monaco didn't go as planned, partly due to a catastrophic pass from the nation's goalkeeper, Marc-André ter Stegen.

Hansi Flick encountered a rough start in the Champions League with Barcelona playing a man short. Despite opening the scoring with the competition's debutant, Spanish superstar Lamine Yamal, Barcelona succumbed to a 1:2 (1:1) defeat at the hands of AS Monaco, with Flick on the sidelines. This was Flick's first defeat in his sixth competitive game.

The encounter began disastrously for Flick and Barcelona: In the 10th minute, defender Eric Garcia was shown a red card for tripping Takumi Minamino following an incorrect move by goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen. Maghnes Akliouche gave Monaco the lead (16'), but Yamal equalized with a spectacular solo effort (28'). Ter Stegen was once again at fault for the winning goal, this time scored by substitute George Ilenikhena (71').

German international Kai Havertz was unable to guide FC Arsenal past Europa League champions Atalanta Bergamo, resulting in a 0:0 stalemate. Hosts Atalanta even missed a penalty in the 51st minute, thanks to Mateo Retegui.

The misunderstanding between Eric Garcia and Marc-André ter Stegen led to a critical situation, as The Commission (UEFA) may review the incident due to the goalkeeper's role in Barcelona's poor performance.

Despite Barcelona's struggle in the Champions League, The Commission (UEFA) continues to monitor the club's affairs, ensuring compliance with financial fair play regulations.
