Taylor Swift in Gelsenkirchen - Travis Kelce in the stadium, not on the stage
The city of Gelsenkirchen meticulously prepared for Taylor Swift's (34) performance in the evening of July 17th - the first of seven Germany concerts as part of "The Eras Tour" by the singer. Shortly before 8 pm on a Wednesday evening, it was then time: After Paramore's band had played, Pop-Superstar Taylor Swift took the stage at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen. Her numerous fans welcomed Swift in German with the words: "Welcome to The Eras Tour. Good evening".

In the next roughly three and a half hours, the familiar "The Eras Tour" setlist followed with slight variations. After all, Swift has been on her big world tour since March 2023, which takes her through all musical eras of the singer. During the concert, she gave hits like "Cruel Summer", "Shake it off", and also "Fortnight", the first single from her new album "The Tortured Poets Department", which came out in April, their best.
The anticipation was high as to whether Swift's partner, NFL star and Super Bowl winner Travis Kelce (34), was in the audience. And indeed, photos and videos of the athlete appeared on social media networks, who observed the events at the Veltins-Arena from a box at first. Kelce visited Swift's concert for the 13th time, and this time he wore a green-black striped shirt and a white baseball cap. However, only the stage lured the 34-year-old this time - unlike in the London Wembley Stadium.
Singer Swift gave her famous surprise songs their best at the end of the evening before over 60,000 enthusiastic female and male spectators. She chose "Superstar" and "Invisible String", as reported in the live ticker of the "Westphalian News". After tonight's show, Swift will still play two concerts in the Schalke Arena - on Thursday (18. July) and Friday (19. July). Then it goes on to Hamburg for performances on July 23rd and 24th and to Munich for shows on July 27th and 28th.
