Team representing the country - Training session in the rain: DFB's first practice session in the EURO 2024 quarterfinals
With Julian Nagelsmann at the helm, a team was undergoing training at the newly built DFB-Ausbaustelle Adidas's facility. The Leipzig player David Raum, nursing a slight injury, was absent from the practice session. Instead, he was working on his fitness in a tent provided for such purposes. Star goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, preparing to rejoin the national team against Ukraine on Monday, trained under a rain jacket for extra protection.
Speaking about his excitement, Neuer had stated, "I'm in a good mood. I'm looking forward to the first units and what's to come" at the fan gathering in Herzogenaurach following his travel from the training camp in Blankenhain on Friday.
Apart from the four finalists from the Champions League, the Barcelona goalkeeper, Marc-André ter Stegen, is yet to make it to the team. However, he's expected to arrive soon to train with his German counterparts for the final game which will take place in Nuremberg on Monday.
