RTL and Raab Entertainment are teaming up to bring you "RTL EM-Studio - All Games, Goals, Emotions" during UEFA Euro 2024. This daily football show will air live on RTL and RTL+ starting June 15th at 8:15 p.m. In a recent press release on June 4th, Cologne broadcaster RTL provided additional details and revealed a special guest.

Elton's Expert Replaced with Thomas Helmer

Elton (53) and Jan Köppen (41) will alternate as hosts of the new show, sharing the spotlight with knowledgeable guests. Jan Köppen will be joined by Stefan Effenberg (55) as his regular co-host. Elton's expert will now be Thomas Helmer (59), who will replace Stefan Kuntz (61). The announcement states, "New team member Thomas Helmer is excited to analyze and comment on the highlights and thrills of Euro 2024 alongside Elton." Thomas Helmer also expressed his enthusiasm for the job, saying, "Being part of the RTL EM-Studio with Elton to discuss the best moments and anticipate the biggest matches of Euro 2024 is a dream come true. I'm also looking forward to meeting some of the world's best players, as well as engaging with knowledgeable guests and an enthusiastic audience."

Thomas Helmer recently stepped in as a replacement: when Mehmet Scholl (53) had to leave ProSieben's "Schlag den Star" for health reasons, Helmer filled his spot.

Football Stars, Clubs, and Studio Actions

Some of the broadcast's special guests will include Lothar Matthäus (63), Mario Basler (55), and Gerald Asamoah (45). One of the show's main attractions is the largest tipping game in Germany, with guests from various football clubs and youth teams. In addition, Mitja Lafere (33) will be on location, visiting fans, stadiums, and team headquarters to provide updates and insights from the field.

The show will also feature in-studio activities like penalty shootouts and comedy sketches to keep viewers entertained. RTL will broadcast 12 games from the European Championship as part of a partnership with Magenta TV, including the quarter- and eighth finals. During the group stage, countries such as the Netherlands, Czech Republic, and Turkey will be shown live.
