Lena Meyer-Landrut - This performance cannot take place
After Lena Meyer-Landrut (33) had to cancel her concert in Ansbach due to a medical emergency, it is likely that her performance in Regensburg on Monday (22. July) will also be cancelled. The singer has not yet issued an official statement, but Arthur Theisinger, organizer of the Piazza Festival in Regensburg's Industrial Park, told "t-online" that the concert would not take place.
Will Lena Meyer-Landrut's concert in Regensburg take place?
He had already discussed this with Meyer-Landrut's tour management on Sunday evening. However, he was still waiting for an official statement. He assumes that the money for the tickets will be refunded. Since no act was planned for Monday evening at the Piazza Festival, the concert would have to be completely cancelled.
The singer announced on her Instagram profile on Sunday (21. July) that her concert at the Ansbach Open could not take place due to an unexpected medical emergency. "Unfortunately, Lena had an unforeseen medical emergency and had to cancel the performance with a heavy heart. She is in medical care. (...) We hope for your understanding in this situation. It breaks Lena's heart that she cannot perform", the statement read in the Instagram Story. Since then, no further updates about other scheduled shows have been posted on the channel.
Several concert cancellations at the end of June
The singer had to cancel two concerts at the last minute in late June for health reasons: a performance on June 29 at the Tollwood Festival in Munich and a performance at the Landesgartenschau in Wangen im Allgäu on June 30. A performance scheduled for July 1 at the Festwoche in Hadamar in Hessen had already been cancelled by the organizer on June 24 "for technical production reasons".
Fans had recently hoped that Lena Meyer-Landrut was feeling better. She appeared for the first time again on stage in Plauen on Friday and did not seem entirely fit. She herself said during the concert on RTL: "I have the feeling that I am not yet at 100%. I would say I am about 70%." The day after, she sang in Wolfsburg. In addition to the concert in Regensburg, shows in Stuttgart (26. July) and Echternach (27. July) are still planned.
